Last week saw Nu Holdings Ltd. (Nu) raise primary proceeds of $2.6bn* on its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, valuing the company at $41.5bn*. Having only launched in 2013, when it was the first digital-native banking platform in Latin America, Nu has grown to become one of the largest digital banking and leading technology companies in the world, with 48.1 million customers across Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. That growth looks set to continue as Nu continues to add more consumers and more SME customers year on year.

The transaction was also a significant milestone for Numis, being our first US IPO. Our team leveraged our global relationships and introduced several new investors.
The deal reaffirms Numis’ successful strategy of partnering with some of the best disruptive companies globally and rounds-off a very successful 2021 in terms of international IPOs – including, Germany’s Auto1 Group and About You in Frankfurt; Sweden’s Truecaller in Stockholm; Poland’s Grupa Pracuj in Warsaw; and Israel’s TerminalX in Tel Aviv.
