LONDON, 07 DECEMBER 2021 – Numis, the independent investment bank, has today announced several new hires to its Growth Capital Solutions team, within the Investment Banking division and appoints a new Head of Operations.
Numis’ Growth Capital Solutions team supports a broad range of innovative, high-growth private companies, through primary and secondary capital raisings, strategic and M&A advice.
The new hires reflect the continued success of the Growth Capital Solutions offering, which has broadened its international network of leading technology disruptors and global investors. In the past 12 months, Numis has raised more than $4billion for the likes of Klarna, Cazoo and Getir, with an average valuation uplift of 2.3 times as institutions continue to increase allocations to private capital. This is partly due to greater comfort in investing in illiquid, longer-term assets and attractive companies remaining private for longer.
The new appointments include:
- Gbolahan Ladipo, Director, Growth Capital Solutions, who brings more than 14 years of experience in providing clients with M&A advice on both buy and sell-side transactions at companies including UBS, Hawkpoint and most recently at Nomura where he ran the sell-side business in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this newly appointed client-facing role, Gbolahan’s role is to originate and lead day to day execution of all key GCS transactions, across a range of sectors.
- Rachel Stott, Associate Director, Growth Capital Solutions, who brings comprehensive experience, having been the Global Strategy Manager at Fever-Tree as the company underwent rapid growth and expanded globally. Prior to that, Rachel spent four years in equity research at JP Morgan, specialising in the Beverages sector. In this newly appointed client-facing role, Rachel will be building the team’s dedicated private markets insight capabilities, and supporting day to day delivery across key GCS transactions.
- Matt Wisniewski, Director, Growth Capital Solutions. Matt joins with 15 years of experience in roles spanning investment banking, equity research and corporate finance. Most recently at Barclays, Matt was a VP Equity Analyst covering companies across North & South America and Europe. Previously, Matt was a member of the Barclays Global Industrials investment banking team where he partnered with clients in private and public market transactions. In his client-facing role, Matt will leverage his broad experience to build the team’s insight and research capabilities.
This comes following the recent appointment of Dr. Ash Patel, Managing Director, who joined the GCS team earlier this year to focus on the healthcare sector.
All three report into David Kelnar, head of Growth Capital Solutions at Numis.

Numis has also announced the appointment of Tiina Winnan as head of Operations. Tiina is an experienced operations director with a deep understanding of front to back processes, having worked in onboarding, middle office, settlements, relationship management and business optimisation services at Goldman Sachs for the past 13 years, most recently in Global Markets Operations. Tiina will hold overall responsibility for operational coordination across the business, leading on the creation and delivery of client onboarding functions. Tiina assumed her responsibilities in November 2021 and reports to Chief Financial Officer, Andrew Holloway.
